TRAVELLING BY AIR

   The fastest, comfortable and romantic way of transport is by air. Two airports in Kiev at travellers disposal: “Borispol” and “Zhulyany”.

"Borispol" airport. Aircompanies. Flights and prices.

   The international airport “Borispol” is 40 km. frorm the centre of Kiev and receives planes from all over the world. Here booking offices and representatives of airline companies can be found. On holidays the airport is usually overcrowded, that’s why the tickets should be booked in advance. There are discounts for invalids, children, for those who buy tickets in 2 ways, for tourist groups. You can book tickets and learn about the flights in tourist companies or in the airport.

Services and prices.

   Nowadays the airport increased its carrying capacity, more services for passengers were organized: handcarts free of charge, first-aid post, interpreter service agency, inquiry office, hotel booking agencies, there is even a hotel near the airport where you can be brought in several minutes. You can find a small cafe on the groundfloor, a currency exchange point, souvenier stalls, an internet cafe. Upstairs “Duty free” and a pub are at your disposal.

The way to the airport.

   It will cost you 65-75 UAH to get to the airport from the city (12-15 USD). From the airport a taxi will cost you 100 UAH that’s why it is better to take a route bus (10 UAH, 2 USD) and than to take a taxi in the city to the hotel.

"Kiev" (Zhulyany).

   The airport is within the city and serves mostly for domestic air flights. It can be reached by trolley bus or a bus from Victory Square or St. Volodimir Cathedral.
